The EK-WL8-EXP expander module increases the radio coverage of an EK-WL8-TRH Ekho transceiver module, allowing the system to be used in larger buildings and harsh environments.
Multiple expanders can be used in a microcell structure to provide a solution for complex systems.
When multiple expander modules (two or more) are used, they provide a MESH solution that maintains system integrity, and allows up to 126 expanders or field devices to be configured on any EK-WL8-TRH transceiver module.
Any combination of Ekho radio devices can be connected to the expander.
It is equipped with two internal antennas that reduce signal fading and ensure stable communications.
