Multimedia Applications

Corning Cabelcon CX3-IEC compression connectors are developed for digital multimedia applications and meet the standards of SCTE and IEC. The transfer impedance in the CX3-IEC compression connectors is low - less than 0.2 mOhm/connector within the return path band (5 - 30 MHz). This is very important for the screening
efficiency for connectors used in return path applications.

Design

Type and stripping dimensions are stamped on the body for safe identification and measuring on location. All standard compression tools can be used. The stripping dimensions meet the standard preparation lenght 6.5 / 6.5 mm (1/4” / 1/4”). The IEC Male can be supplied with item no. 99900570, containing a M14 nut and an O-ring. This makes the connection secure and watertight (IPX8*) for use in active components. This item has to be ordered seperately.
