* Reader that allows the door to be opened by bringing a proximity card or key fob closer. Only authorized cards or key fobs will operate the device. No physical contact is necessary.

* Proximity reader that, through a configuration of dipswitches (SW2) that it incorporates, can work in an autonomous or centralized system.

Configuration as AUTONOMOUS.

* Capacity for up to 400 user cards or key rings.

* Reader and controller integrated in the same module.

Configuration as CENTRALIZED MDS-CAC.

* Proximity reader with capacity of up to:

1020 user cards/keychains with the MDS central unit (ref. 2405).

2048 user cards/keychains with the CAC central unit (ref. 4410).

* Reader and controller integrated in the same module.

Configuration as CENTRALIZED with Wiegand 26 or Data/Clock protocol.

* When starting the reader if it is in mode:

Wiegand-26, the “+” led will light up for 1 second.

Data/Clock, the led «-» will light up for 1 second.

* Proximity reader with capacity of up to:

1020 user cards/keychains with the MDS central unit (ref. 2405).

2048 user cards/keychains with the CAC central unit (ref. 4410).

* It requires a door controller (ref. 4420) for its connection and operation.

* Acoustic and visual confirmation by signaling leds of the acceptance or rejection of the presented card.

* Integrated in a 2.5mm thick stainless steel plate.

* Recessed or surface mounting.

* Recommended for indoors and outdoors.

Technical specifications

AUTONOMOUS Technical Characteristics:

Does not require physical contact reader

card. Reading distance 5 cm (card) or 1.5 cm (keychain).

- Acoustic and visual information of actions.

Manual or PC programming (card registrations-deregistrations) very simple.

Door sensor control and exit button

Relay output.

Lock release activation by relay with programmable time. Programmable 1 to 99 sec.

Signaling LEDs (help with programming and status).

Autonomous Programming

It can be done in 3 ways:

• By Master Card.

• Private programming keyboard.

• PC software.

MDS-AC+ CENTRALIZED Technical Characteristics:

It does not require physical reader-card contact. Reading distance 5 cm (card) or 1.5 cm (keychain).

- Acoustic and visual information of actions.

Lock release button input, door sensor input and lock release relay (C, NO, NC, potential-free).

Reader Wiring

– Central Unit: 2 wires (power) + shielded twisted pair (data). In an installation with several readers, they can be connected in cascade.

It has a dipswitch (SW1) to configure:

• Door Number (switches 1..5): the access/door number (0..31).

• Switch 6: No function.

• Lock release opening (switches 7..8): depending on the installation:

Lock release opening time (sec.) in MDS.

In AC+ configuration by software (switches without function).

- Connector CN3: Keyboard connector.

The lock releases can be connected directly to the reader and for maximum security installations use the relay decoder.

Centralized Programming

Programming is done from the PC software corresponding to the installed central unit (ref. 2405 or ref. 4410).

CENTRALIZED Technical Characteristics with Wiegand 26 or Data/Clock protocol:

It does not require physical reader-card contact. Reading distance 5 cm (card) or 1.5 cm (keychain).

Acoustic and visual information of actions.

Wiegand (WG) or Data/Clock readers make it possible to provide the installation with greater anti-sabotage security by not connecting the door opening mechanism or the connection of the exit button to the reader. All devices are connected to the door controller and are therefore out of the range of manipulation. The door controller will be installed inside (safe area) and the reader outside.

The reader can be used with other door controllers that use Wiegand 26 (WG) or Data/Clock protocols.

Wiring: 7 wires to the door controller.

- For more information, see Technical Characteristics of the door controller.

Centralized Programming

Programming is done from the PC software corresponding to the installed central unit (ref. 2405 or ref. 4410).
